Why NO2EU –Yes to Democracy is marching on Saturday

The global financial crisis is not some kind of natural disaster. It is the result of a 30-year global experiment with right wing, neo-liberal economics which put profits before the needs of people. This corporate greed has led to widespread corruption, growing inequality and poverty as well as untold damage to the environment.

Yet EU leaders are trying to impose the Lisbon Treaty on the peoples of Europe which would make these discredited right wing economic policies constitutional goals.

NO2EU –Yes to Democracy is an electoral platform of trade unionists, political parties and campaigning groups which share deep concerns over the anti-democratic, neo-liberal and authoritarian direction the EU is taking.

EU directives are privatising our public services, the EU’s European Court of Justice is attacking workers’ rights and the corrupt EU gravy train seems to be getting longer and longer.

Undemocratic EU internal market rules demanding the ‘free movement’ of capital, goods, services and labour within the EU are creating the conditions for a race to the bottom in terms of wages and conditions and a euro-nationalist fortress Europe mentality.

EU ‘liberalises’ energy markets

The European Parliament and EU member states reached a deal on Monday to ‘liberalise’ national energy markets after France and Germany lost the battle to protect energy companies like Electricité de France and RWE.

‘‘We will no longer be faced with the authoritarian policies of certain companies,’’ said an Italian liberal MEP Antonio Mussa. ‘‘There will be a free market.’’

“It is essential for all other energy policies – security of supply, the fight against climate change, the development of renewable energy. For all these, we need a competitive market,” said Ferran Tarradellas, spokesperson for the energy commissioner.

The EU first proposed liberalising its energy market in 1992 with the idea of creating unified gas and electricity grids to force large – often state-owned – utilities to separate their supply businesses from national distribution networks, closely following the approach taken by the EU to break up state rail networks.

Bob Crow, convenor of No2EU – Yes to Democracy, said: “At a time when the crisis in world energy supply has become acute as a result of the neo-liberal, global policies that have prevailed for the last 30 years, this deal tells us everything we need to know about the EU. Even with the world economy brought to its knees by neo-liberalism, the EU’s answer is ‘more of the same’.”

“The policies that saw the closure of Britain’s deep-mined coal and a short-term ‘dash for gas’ were a disaster for British workers and consumers alike and did not result in lower energy prices. These mistakes are now being replicated on a European-wide scale by the neo-liberal dogmatists of the EU”, said Bob Crow.

Paris and Berlin led opposition to any forced breakup of national energy champions, and counter-proposed giving utilities the easier option of remaining intact under the supervision of a regulator. European competition chiefs have already pounced on RWE and E.ON, both of Germany, for anti-competitive actions, pushing them to sell networks.

TO LEAVE THE EU

What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.

Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.

The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU's CAP - In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!

Similarly without a clear majority at Westminster no MPs vote can make ANY difference as 80% of all law at Westminster is made by imposition by our Government of Brussels and the balance can be forced upon us under Article 2 Section II of The EUropean Communities Act 1972 by 'Order in Council' or 'Statutary Instrument' by The Minsiter Concerned. British MPs have absolutely no job, merely rapidly escalating incomes!

To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we leave our children and the future, with shame!

I SUGGEST – since there is clearly no political party of repute, advocating or campaigning for withdrawal of these United Kingdoms from the EU and restoration of our independent sovereign, democracy, with Justice & the right to self determination in a free country. Deny the self seeking & meaningless wanabe MEPs the Mythical Mandate for which they clamour. Diktat is imposed from The EU but Law should be made at Westminster, for our Country & our Peoples.
